Security

The Security subtab is where you manage how you sign in to Partsemble. This is separate from the Profile subtab, which handles your name, phone, and display preferences.

Accessing Security Settings​

Navigate to Settings → Profile → Security.

Changing Your Password​

If you already have a password set, Partsemble shows a Change Password form with three fields:

  • Current password — required to verify it's really you.
  • New password — at least 8 characters.
  • Confirm new password — must match.

Click Update Password to save. You'll stay signed in on this device after changing.

Setting a Password (Google Sign-in Users)​

If you originally signed up through Google, you may not have a password set. The Security subtab detects this and shows a Set Password form instead of Change Password. Setting a password gives you a fallback way to sign in — useful if you ever lose access to your Google account or want to switch sign-in methods.

New passwords must be at least 8 characters.

Google Sign-in Status​

Partsemble shows whether your account is connected to a Google identity. If you registered through Google, the connection is always active. This display is informational — you can't disconnect it from this subtab without contacting support.

Future Enhancements​

Additional account security features may be added in future releases.
